Visiting our Friends
Wednesday 15 August
As we are in Chichester it only seems proper to have our hair cut so it was off to see Clare and her husband Spencer at their home. We both emerged dutifully shorn and ‘looking good’.
After lunch we went to see Sam, Isaac and Lilia in Bognor. It was great to see them all and really enjoyed the Victoria sponge cake. We were treated to jigsaws, dressing up and guess what’s under the tea towel. Where do children get all their energy from?
Thursday 16 August
We got up really early today 7am... got dressed had our breakfast straight away and then took the van to the farmers vehicle cleaning area. Kev spoke to the farmer yesterday and he gave us permission to clean Campy using his powerful hose. Job done we showered and set off to go to see Sally.
Kindly, Sally took all our dirty washing and did two wash loads and tumble dried it whilst keeping us going with copious amounts of coffee. Thanks Sally we love you....X
After lunch we visited another good friend Gaby, we arrived at the private estate in Aldwick Bay and after negotiating the gate entry system and upsetting a couple of locals because we didn’t have a fob, we had a lovely relaxing afternoon in Gaby’s company.
5pm we were at our new campsite at South Mundham (Emma’s Leg) its a lovely site recommended to us by Sam and Phil. Basic but great for a few days. 5.30pm Michelle, Andy and the bump came to see us. It is quite unusual for us to have visitors so it was really lovely to see them.
Hello K&P, Good to read your continuing travel news, not least the review of Campy (Aug 10)and the critique of various on-board accessories. All this latest talk about visiting Chi and having hair cuts and then I see the handsome couple above and thought what a difference a crop has made, then realised it's actually your friends Michelle + bump!& Andy. Specsavers I hear you say. Unfortunately, wet weather is coming across the Midlands presently but hopefully it wont reach Scarborough, next week. Beyond that we look forward to your sojourn in Burton on Trent. Bye for now, Peter & Caroline x.
