Happy New Year!
We had an outing to Comares yesterday (new year’s eve). It’s a pretty white village perched high on top of a hill (703m above sea level) with amazing views from all around the village. The drive up to the village took us along steep roads with hairpin bends - not for the faint hearted. We parked Campy outside the village and walked in. We explored the village and it was quite a workout walking around it’s very steep and narrow streets.
Back at the house we found it was not quite warm enough to sunbathe so we sat outside at the table and spent the afternoon playing games including trivial pursuit.
Later we had dinner followed by card games until midnight approached and we wrapped up and went out to the terrace to see the new year in. As the Church bell sounded midnight we toasted the new year and looked expectantly towards the village waiting to see fireworks. There were a paltry few and a few others in the distance. Time for bed!

Fantastic news Kev's Nephew, Chris and Jessica are proud parents for the first time. This makes us all here GREAT...So well done to them and we all can't wait to get home to see Sophia.
